Homemade Pretzel Dogs


Reteta este scrisa in limba romana si in limba engleza.

The recipe is written both in English and Romanian.


Versiunea in limba romana:

Ingrediente:


· Aluat de pizza proaspat: 300 gr faina, ulei de masline, sare, apa, o lingura de drojdie uscata si un varf de lingurita de zahar

· 3 crenvursti cu branza (am folosit Wudy Formaggio, pachet de 3 buc)

· 1 ou

· Seminte de susan

· Sare



Mod de preparare:

1. Amestecam faina, sarea, uleiul de masline si zaharul intr-un bol de plastic

2. Diluam drojdia uscata cu apa calda si o punem peste faina

3. Framantam bine totul pana obtinem un aluat omogen, apoi presaram putina faina deasupra aluatului de pizza si il lasam la crescut

4. Acoperim aluatul cu un prosop de bucatarie curat. Din cand in cand verificam aluatul ca sa urmarim progresul

5. Am lasat aluatul sa creasca de la ora 12 pana la ora 17 si a crescut frumos, intindem aluatul cu sucitorul și il taiem in forma dreptunghiulara

6. Preincalzim cuptorul la 180C


7. Asezam crenvurstiul in mijlocul dreptunghiului si taiem partile laterale in fasii egale

8. Punem prima fasie din partea dreapta peste crenvursti, apoi din partea stanga, repetam procedura pana cand toate fasiile acopera crenvustiul

9. Repetam pasul 8 cu toti crenvurstii

10. Asezam crenvurstii intr-o tava acoperita cu hartie de copt

11. Batem oul intr-un bol si cu ajutorul unei pensule il punem peste aluat

12. Garnisim cu sare si seminte de susan

13. Punem tava in cuptor si o lasam pentru 10-12 minute

English version:

Ingredients:

• Fresh pizza dough: 300 gr flour, olive oil, salt, water, a tablespoon of dry yeast and a teaspoon of sugar

• 3 cheese hotdogs (I used Wudy Formaggio, pack of 3)

• 1 egg

• Sesame seeds

• Salt

Method of preparation:

1. Mix flour, salt, olive oil and sugar in a plastic bowl

2. Dilute the dry yeast with warm water and put it over the flour

3. Knead everything well until you get a homogeneous dough, then sprinkle a little flour on top of the pizza dough and leave it to rise.

4. Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel. From time to time we check the dough to watch the progress

5. Let the dough rise for a couple of hours and it will rise nicely, spread the dough with the rolling pin and cut it into a rectangular shape

6. Preheat the oven to 180C

7. Place the sausage in the middle of the rectangle and cut the sides into equal strips

8. Put the first strip on the right, then on the left, repeat the procedure until all the strips cover the sausage

9. Repeat step 8 with all the sausages

10. Place the sausages in a tray covered with baking paper

11. Beat the egg in a bowl and with a brush put it over the dough

12. Garnish with salt and sesame seeds

13. Put the tray in the oven and leave it for 10-12 minutes
